D.V.M and Medical Director
Dr. Morford was raised in Fallon, Nevada. She completed her Bachelor of Animal Science at UNR. After obtaining her degree she traveled to Mauritius and did research on spinner dolphins and sperm whales. Although she loved swimming with dolphins, she quickly realized veterinary school was what she needed to do. Dr. Morford attended Ross University in St. Kitts and completed her clinical year at Louisiana State University (Geux Tigers!!). After finishing veterinary school, she worked in Vegas for a year and then was happy when the opportunity arose to come back to Northern Nevada.
Dr. Morford is married with 2 small children, a golden retriever, and a lab. She is hopeful that her next dog will be a doodle soon . She loves hiking, creating costumes, and planning events. She truly enjoys traveling and immersing herself in new cultures.
Dr. Morford loves soft tissue surgery and urgent care. She enjoys taking her continuing education around surgery and emergency medicine. She wants to continue to grow with the ever-developing veterinary medicine. She likes relationships with her owners and wants to build trust and bond with her clients.

D.V.M.
I graduated veterinary school from Murdoch University in Perth, Australia, with the cool BVMS degree and returned to the United States exporting my beloved house rabbit Strudel. Since then I've worked in Caribou, Maine; Olympia, Gig Harbour, and Everett, Washington; and now reside in Reno.
I focus on specific cat-friendly and low-stress dog handling and love educating owners while winning their pet over.
My current menagerie includes 2 house rabbits and 3 cats.
Hospital Manager
My name is Sheylah and I was born and raised in Reno, NV. I started working in the veterinary field in 2004 with Dr. Marvin Altom, and other than a break from the industry from 2017-2020, I have remained dedicated and passionate in my career within veterinary medicine. When I was in grade school I always had a dream to become a veterinarian however, I ended up pursuing management instead.
I am happily married with one son and three additional bonus children. My family is absolutely the center of my universe 🧡💜💙.
In my free time I enjoy raising my son, spending time with family and friends, exercising, and listening to music. My additional passions include metal music (love concerts!) and fitness, specifically enjoying running, weight training, the stairmaster, and HIIT. I also have my NASM personal training certification, along with other NASM specialties, and thoroughly enjoy coaching.
Peavine Animal Hospital and our North Valley's Community is close to my heart. I work closely with Dr. Morford as we always strive for the best care and experience possible. I am dedicated to our team, patients, and community and am here for you! Thanks for trusting in us!
Inventory Manager
Hi there! My name is Cirila and I am happy to be working here at Peavine Animal Hospital as the Inventory Manager.
I have had the pleasure of working in the veterinary field for 11 years. I am so grateful for all the challenges my job has brought me, the experiences I’ve had and everything I have learned. I love being a part of what Peavine Animal Hospital is continuously striving to be and I believe in what we do as a team everyday.
I have 2 crazy little Dachshunds of my own, “Riley” and “Jonsey” are their names. They are crazy, and If you’ve ever seen the show Letterkenny you’ll understand where we got the names. 😁
My husband Josh and I met in high school, remained friends for years and then married in 2015. I have 2 wonderful kiddos. Savannah who is 8 and my step-daughter Ava who is 16. I love being a mom more than anything and they bring me so much joy every day.
My favorite past-times are music (metal, of course) as it brings me to my happy place 🤘🏻, concerts, spending time with my family and friends, reading and traveling. I’ve had the opportunity to live in some amazing places including San Diego, New York City and Australia.
Thank you for allowing us to care for your furry family members! It’s what we love to do! 🩵💜
